National Club Leaders’ Conference

scottishathletics hosts the annual Club Leaders’ Conference every autumn. In 2016 the third National Club Leaders Conference took place on Saturday 29 October at the Hilton, Glasgow.

Topics for this year’s conference included:

• Small Organisations Can Make a Big Impact– case study from Commonwealth Games Scotland;
• Governance, Legal Status and Management Structure – the Recipe for Success;
• Recruit and Retain Volunteers Effectively – Case Study;
• In addition, and due to popular demand, eight Scottish athletics clubs presented this year – providing real life case studies and will include a special ‘Club Power Hour’ of sharing good practice.
