Officials’ availability

Track & Field Fixtures – Winter 2016-17

It is now time to request your availability for the Winter 2016-17 Indoor Track & Field Season.

Please fill out the Online Availability Form at your earliest opportunity. As well as recording your own personal details, this has a list of meetings planned for the coming Winter Season. Once completed please ensure you click the “submit” button at the foot of the form and receive the confirmation screen message on your browser.

Following completion of the form you will also receive a confirmation email that your submission has been received. If you do not see the confirmation message on your browser and receive the email please contact Rob Dalziel (officialsallocations@scottishathletics.org.uk) to check.

The closing date for returns is Monday 3 October.

We encourage all officials regardless of discipline or level to complete the availability form to ensure all events have the required number of officials in attendance. Those who have yet to start the formal training process are also welcome to submit their availability and will be allocated roles accordingly to aid their experience.

Following the closing date and the allocations process being completed by the Officials’ Commission, information will be circulated to all officials allocated roles for all scottishathletics championships. Any official not given an allocation in their own discipline may be allocated to an administration role for any of the dates on which they are available.

Organisers of matches, other than scottishathletics championships, will make direct contact with you if you have indicated that you are available for any of their meetings.

It is fully realised that officials give of their time willingly and all the help given is very much appreciated by the Commission and the other organisers and a special welcome will be extended to all our newer colleagues who may, erroneously, feel that they are not required for or qualified to work at scottishathletics championships.
