Club affiliation

Each year we ask clubs to complete an affiliation form with details of their coach and athlete membership, disciplines, training locations etc. The link for the 2016-2017 online affiliation form has been emailed direct to club secretaries.

If you have any questions about affiliation, please contact Membership Administrator Carol Robison.

Please note this form should only be filled out by clubs which are already affiliated. If you are a new club wishing to affiliate for the first time, please see the ‘Affiliating for the first time’ section at the bottom of this page.

Help with the form

You can download the Club-Affiliation-Guidance Notes 2016-17 to help you complete the online form, or watch the video guide.

Helping us to help you

The data and information that you provide on this form is very valuable to the ongoing work of our National Club Managers.  The primary concern and priority for the team is to support and assist our member clubs with your activities, performance, ambitions, infrastructure, capacity and challenges.  We clearly see our clubs – you – as the greatest priority in developing more and better opportunities for people of all ages in athletics, but we also recognise the challenges and barriers that you (and therefore we together) face in that regard.

The data you provide us with on this form helps us prepare for these challenges as we continue to take forward our enhanced programmes of support for clubs.

The AGM of scottishathletics is scheduled for 24 September 2016 at the Emirates Arena Glasgow. The club affiliation returns are used to establish the number of votes held by each club at the AGM. Failure to make the return and payment by 31 August 2016 will result in the club having no votes at the AGM.

Affiliated clubs of scottishathletics agree to abide by our Memorandum and Articles of Association which can be viewed here.

Helping athletes to find you

The information you provide on your affiliation form will be used to update your entry on the scottishathletics Club Finder, so it is important that it is as accurate as possible, to help potential new members find you.

Affiliating for the first time

If your athletics club would like to become affiliated to scottishathletics for the first time, please contact the National Club Manager for your area, who can guide you through the process. The club will need to complete the New Club Affiliation Form, which will be considered by the Board of scottishathletics. You can also download this Guidance Document.
